i really like out the arch of the tunnel frames the last picture. also i was going to go take pictures of the loppet this weekend, but it was too cold and so i just watched for a bit and then ran home. did you go?
I really wanted to go but I didn't think it was going on because of the weather. Don't they normally flood the Hennepin/Lake intersection with snow for this event? I didn't see any snow at the intersection on friday or saturday. On Sunday a friend of mine drove down Hennepin and didn't see anything going on either. So sadly I didn't go because I figured it was cancelled.
they used to do that, but now they close down the mall area and pile snow on there. it was just too much of a hassle to close down hennepin i guess. also one year they closed it down and then i think it got cancelled due to no snow. this year it wasn't cancelled it just started an hour later so the volunteers wouldn't have to be out there when it was even colder. dubious the hour start time did anything.
