This is a photoblog of Uptown Minneapolis. Centered at Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue in South Minneapolis, Uptown is one truly unusual high energy commercial district. Below are some photos I’ve taken and some observations I’ve made about Uptown Minneapolis and the surrounding area.

I love the straight lines of this bridge.
Agreed. This bridge has wonderful features for photography.
Good to see this again. I had a collection of Uptown observations published. One entry was pretty much from this vanage point. Thank you.
"At the lake now. Behind me the exhilarating intersection of potential and luxury. The boring conversations gave first clues.
The benches here are situated in swamps. I am convinced once people
made their ways out to them and were stranded. They died there, thinking of their families who forgot to check up on them. They melted and made the swamp larger.
On one a madman still sits. There are still old-fashioned madmen here in the North.
In the south no one is mad any more. Really.
No one."

You are welcome. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in the area.
