RESTAURANT MIAMI

No, I did fly to Miami for this shot. Resaurant Miami is located at 913 West Lake Street in South Minneapolis. So what's is like? Feels like you're in a small club back in '82 or so. Some of the tables have phones so if you want to call other tables you can. They also have Pac-Man. This isn't really a review just a heads up on what it's like in general...

I met up with some other local photogs, walked around outside for a while, and took some more photos...







Then we all hit up the Holidazzle Parade for some long exposure goodness...

Calhoun Square - Uptown II

This photo was an accident. I set the camera to portrait but the arm on my tripod was a little loose and my camera started slowly heading down to landscape. I decided to crop the photo and make the most it. Not bad really...



Here's another shot of Calhoun Square. No Mistake this time except I probably should have turned the camera to the left a little to include more of the starburst...

Gummi Bears

Hungry? I noticed some Gummi bears stuck to a pole across the street from the CC Club. If you hurry, they might still be there...

Empty Guinness Bottle

I'm a Guinness fan, especially in the Fall and Winter. That's when dark beer taste even better IMO. I also like taking pictures of empty bottles and cans left on the street. So naturally this worked out great for me...



Did you know Draught Guinness actually has fewer calories than most other premium beers and lagers. Less alcohol content too.

Calhoun Square - Uptown

I'm posting twice today for a couple reasons:

1.) I currently have a lot of photos that I haven't posted yet

2.) I just bought a new lens

After tons of research and much thought I decided to go with the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM. Here's a sample pic at 17mm...



I still have a lot of 50mm pics to upload but the bottom line is you can expect to see a lot more wide angle photos here at the Uptown Mpls Blog.
