The annual City of Lakes Loppet was held this weekend. I grabbed my tripod and took some photos of the Luminary event...
All of these long exposure photos were taken on Lake of the Isles.

Those are stunning! Thanks for sharing.
Awww, these are great! They make me all kinds of happy inside.
There were a lot of wonderful volunteers that helped create the magic. But special thanks goes to Hal Galvin and David Bryan, Kenwood residents and the creative genuises behind this project. Thanks to the City of Lakes Loppet for holding this amazing event!
AWE and OOOOs!
Oh yes. Thanks, many thanks to everyone who put this together! I kept thinking it looked like a lot of work while I was taking these photos. They did a really nice job.
Beautiful!
I particularly loved the last one.
Awsome pics! I was there on Saturday, what a great event. I'm looking forward to this next year.
Thanks for the comments everyone! I'll try and photograph the race next year.

Shucks, I forgot to contact you about this. I was out with my friends Bob, Matt and Rob (Dusty Lens) that night. Did you see four guys with tripods wandering around?
Drop me a note sometime, we should meet for coffee and share tales.
- Mitch
No, I didn't see anyone with tripods otherwise I would have said hi.
Someday I will organize a photowalk around uptown and if I do, I'll let you know.
