Why thank you. Now that I have a wide angle lens I hope to get some similar shots inside Calhoun Square.

2 things:

1. ZOOOOM!

3. Those Gaviidae shots make it look amazing! I wish the shopping there was as amazing!

Hey! That looks familiar! :)

I'm glad you had fun, the Holidazzle is a great chance to get out and play with long exposures.

Next time you guys go out, let me know, I'd like to meet you and the other photographers.

All: If you'd like to see some other photos of the Gaviidae and holidazzle, stop by mitchster.com (link below)

I particularly like the one of the candy(?) booth with the person standing there.
And the second mall picture.

Wow...kinda strange getting busted drinking a late night cup of hot chocolate.
It was my wife who reads your blog and was like "Look honey it's you!"
Just too bad you couldn't have found someone prettier to take a picture of:)

Wow! I've been out of town and AFK. Looks like a lot of people stopped by while I was away. Thanks for all the kind words.

spacedlaw - Those are my favorites too.

anita - Thank you.

tybalt - That.Is.Crazy...small world I guess. I hope I didn't creep you out. I singled you out as a subject because you were wearing a hood and hoods add a bit of mystery to photos which I happen to like.

the kilipino - welcome back. enjoy your stay!

Chuck - Go for it. I had a lot of fun. I'm sure you will get good shots too.

Wow, great pics, but then you already know that. Just curious about your tripod, and if you have a good recomendation. I know, I know, camera first assecories second. My easy take camera will suffice for now.

Thanks dusty lens. I own two inexpensive tripods:

• Mini D PlatnumPlus by sunpack. It's very small and fits in your pocket. I would only recommend this one for light point and shoot cameras. If the camera is too heavy it will tip over and that's the last thing you want.

• 6400 UT PlatnumPlus by sunpack. This one is a lot larger (normal size) but very light and it fits on the side of my backpack which in nice. Not the best build quality but its light and it works for my needs.

I bought both of them at Best Buy and I'd recommend either one or both but it all depends on what you plan on shooting and how heavy your camera is.

The second photo in this post is amazing. I also enjoyed the Hollidazzle photos. I would actually go to the Hollidazzle if it looked like that...I guess I could drop some acid, but I'm not 17 anymore.
